In light of Barron Trump’s 18th birthday, we spoke to Eden Gillott, president of Gillott Communications, about the ways he can navigate the scrutiny of the public eye. “As Barron Trump steps into adulthood while navigating a life under a microscope, the best course of action in facing inevitable criticism is to embrace the life he chooses to lead, unfettered by the fear of public scrutiny,” Gillott told Nicki Swift.
She added that while Barron’s new status will result in more attention, especially during his controversial father’s ongoing presidential campaign, it will also allow him to create his unique brand separate from his family’s political image. “In addition, anyone who’s waiting for a child to turn 18 so they can publicly criticize them should be ignored; their intentions aren’t coming from a good place, and they aren’t trying to help better the person they’re attacking,” Gillott said.
While Barron’s new adult life has everyone talking, he isn’t letting the outside noise distract him. In a recent statement to People, a source revealed that the young adult and his mother, Melania Trump, are focusing on his college future. “Melania’s main job is taking care of Barron, and I think it’s possible that she will follow him wherever he goes to school,” they revealed. “Barron is shy and reserved, and she has been a good mother to him all of these years. Melania is all about family.”
