Prizemoney for next week’s Powerball draw is once again back up to a massive $100million, after no one took out the $60million up for grabs in Thursday night’s draw.
It’s the second time in a month the Thursday night game has offered up the multi-million dollar purse for players, after a Sydney man pocketed the last lump sum.
The winner from Bankstown, in Sydney’s west became Australia’s second-biggest individual lottery prize winner after he took home $100million on June 22.

Next week’s Powerball could see another winner take home $100million in prizemoney
Since then though, there has been no division-one winner in the past five Powerball draws.
Draw 1420 which will be held next week on Thursday August 3, will become just the seventh time in the game’s 27-year history players will have a shot at walking away with $100million.
‘It was only last month that Powerball crowned the nation’s second-biggest individual lottery winner,’ said The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart.

‘Powerball has been on a winning streak this year, with nine Powerball division one winning entries across Australia so far in 2023 collectively taking home more than $454 million,’ he said.

It’s the seventh time in The Lott’s 27-year-history that the game will offer $100million in prizemoney after a Sydney man won the massive prize last month
Mr Hart said next week’s draw is another opportunity for a potential winner to get a shot at changing their life.
‘We’re sure most Powerball players are already dreaming about what they’d do if they joined this exclusive winning club.
‘The holiday of a lifetime, immediate retirement, your perfect home and all your other dreams could be a reality.’
According to The Lott, more than 300 millionaires have been created in the last financial year across division one draws.
That amounts to one person becoming a millionaire every day.
Last night’s Powerball numbers were 19, 14, 18, 22, 16, 4, and 33. The lucky Powerball number was 18.
Although there were no winners last night, $38.8million in prizemoney was won between divisions two to nine from a total of 1,909,895 prizes.
