A popular brand of almond milk is being stripped from shelves around the New South Wales over fears it’s been contaminated with biotoxins.
Inside Out almond milk, which is sold at Woolworths, is being removed from stores over fears bottles contain botulinum, a neurotoxin capable of causing disease.

Affected bottles contain the use-by date marking of March 1, 2023.

“Consumers should not eat this product,” Food Standards Australia New Zealand said.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.”

The warning comes a day after a basketball ring set, that was for sale at leading sports stores around the country for two-and-a-half years, was also recalled.

The Spalding NBA acrylic basketball backboard and mounting bracket set was not sold with the necessary warnings and installation instructions, and incorrect installation could create “a risk of serious injury or death”, authorities are warning.

In late January, Hyundai recalled thousands of cars to fix a software glitch affecting the “fail-safe” driving mode, a fault which has the potential to cause a crash.
