Aldi has issued a recall for the Casalux Solar LED street light, a popular item from its Special Buys range.

The recall comes in response to concerns that the product’s internal batteries may overheat while charging, leading to incidents of explosions, melting, and fires.

The affected product, identified by the model number WFD-SPL004, was sold nationally in ALDI stores from September 23 to October 27.

Customers are urged to check for this model number on the compliance label located under the solar panel. If the product matches the recalled model, consumers are advised to stop using it immediately due to the serious risk of property damage, serious injury, or even death.
