Seyed Akbar Hosseini was left with bloodied hands as he fought off one intruder at 6am today, before three strangers allegedly returned to his home also armed with a knife and what he described as a “big gun”.
Rocks were then hurled through the front window, a Porsche smashed and a garage door broken as the Maserati was taken.
“They were just in panic, crying, so yeah I just tried to calm them down,” friend Mehrzad Mosaleheh told 9News.
Police chased the allegedly stolen $70,000 Maserati 50 kilometres from Helensvale to Browns Plain in Logan.

The alleged thieves posted videos on social media from inside, as the car clocked 160km/h.
The car was finally brought to a stop by road spikes after the driver hit a patrol car, then a tree.
A man, 27, and a woman, 18, were taken into custody and police said a second man was on the run.
A white Mercedes seen on CCTV as the sports car sped away is also of interest to police.
