Victoria Police have launched a special operation to track down an alleged burglar, dubbed the “Geelong Night Stalker”, who is targeting homes south-east of Melbourne’s

The man is believed to be behind attempted break-ins and trespassing incidents across multiple homes, spanning the suburbs of Bell Post Hill, Highton, Rippleside, Torquay and Werribee.

He has successfully broken into two properties, but left empty handed both times.

“While there has been no damage to property or items stolen, the alleged offender has been depicted on CCTV loitering around and attempting to enter properties,” police said.

“The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 180cm tall, medium build and aged between 30 and 40 years old.”

The series of incidents occurred between 29 January and 7 March.

Anyone who has information, dash-cam vision or CCTV is urged to contact police.
