A man is being hunted by police after he dropped off a woman who’d been shot to hospital before fleeing the scene.
The woman, 37, was driven to Bankstown Hospital, in Sydney’s west, in a white sedan after being shot in the torso, at about 12.50pm on Thursday.
Police believe she was shot at a home in Condell Park. She is then understood to have been a passenger in the sedan driven by a man described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance.
He is about 175cm tall, with a medium build, and has a dark beard.

He’d been wearing a black hoodie and black shorts over full-length black training tights at the time.
The driver left the area on foot shortly after dropping the woman at the hospital, police say, and the sedan was seized.
The 37-year-old underwent surgery and is now in a stable condition.
Police are appealing for public assistance to help track down the man as investigations continue.
