A police car has crashed into a courier driving through a quiet suburban intersection in western Sydney.
The highway patrol car rammed into the side of the Honda Jazz at the intersection of Pritchard Street and Hemphill Avenue in Mount Pritchard about 3.15pm today.
The crash was captured on CCTV, which shows the smaller silver hatchback spin after the police didn’t stop before driving into the oncoming lane.
“The male police officer was been treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool hospital for further treatment,” NSW Police said in a statement.

The police officer’s injuries are not life-threatening.
The other driver was not injured.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is underway.
