Two car enthusiasts killed when a Toyota Corolla crashed into a tree and burst into flames have been identified. 

Mathew Wong, 23, and Kasia Kulary, 26, died in the accident on Burnt Bridge Creek Deviation at Balgowlah on Sydney’s Northern Beaches at around 10.45pm on Wednesday.

Police believe Mr Wong was driving the black car. 

The pair had come from a motoring meet-up in Mosman with the Car Culture Australia group, which they were keen members of, 9News reported.

Ms Kulary’s Facebook cover photo shows her posing with a Lexus. 

‘Kasia was, and still is, the light of all of our lives. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends,’ her family said.

Police are investigating the crash and whether the car was speeding.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
