‘Bored’ teenagers have been blasted after climbing up an unfinished skyscraper and filming each other standing at its edge in a brazen and chilling online trend.
Several videos have been posted to TikTok showing youths sitting with their legs hanging over a tower at Elizabeth Quay in Perth.
While the teens climbed the building using the stairwells, once at the top, they repeatedly film themselves at or near the edge of the skyscraper with only basic scaffolding poles separating them from disaster.
Many of the clips are tagged as urban exploring, boasting how ‘easy’ it is to do because of minimal security.
Despite warnings to stop, the defiant teens vowed to continue because they like the ‘peaceful’ city views late at night.

A third video shows young men filming their view after climbing the refurbished Scitech dome of Perth’s City West building.
The teenagers have even boasted how simple it is to bypass minimal security and climb the buildings.
One youth wearing an NBA vest told 9News he scaled the building several times by climbing metal gates like ‘a bit of a Jumanji’, before walking up the stairs and ‘chilling’ at the top.

Perth’s Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas slammed the trend as ‘dangerous’, saying the youths were putting themselves and others at risk.
‘It’s dangerous behaviour, it’s not welcome in our city and we don’t want anybody to put themselves, or those that might have to come and help them, in a tricky position,’ he said.
Despite the clear message from the mayor, teens interviewed on camera vowed to continue to scale the buildings because of the ‘amazing’ view.
‘Yeah, 100 per cent,’ one said.
‘If you look at night, it just looks so like peaceful,’ another added.
Two towers are under construction in a $1.1billion project at Elizabeth Quay, one of which is 58 storeys, which will include offices, a boutique hotel and residential apartments.
In a worrying sign, the clips are being praised online by TikTok users, with many responses from people tagging friends to copy the antics shown.
‘Bro stopped playing games to go live life at its fullest. Respect,’ one wrote.
‘Anyone going tonight?’ another asked. The comment received several likes.

‘What’s the best time to get in?’ one follower asked. The person who posted the clip told him ‘the later the better’.
‘We should do this,’ one account holder said.
Several appear to be competing with each other about who climbed the buildings first, also boasting that ‘it’s so easy’.
