Sharmayne Fisher, 22, went to the 7-Eleven store a couple of metres from her home in the suburb of Midvale last night when she was struck by a car and killed.
Her son Jolton is now without his mother.
Friend and Landlord Nasser Malak said the community has lost a good person.
“I can’t believe what’s happened,” Malak said.
“I looked after her like my sister.

Police said a 32-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a black BMW hatchback when it struck Fisher at the Morrison and Farrell Road intersection about 10.30pm.
The driver was not injured.
9News understands Fisher’s friend drove past and witnessed the scene unaware it was his friend on the ground.
This was until he called her phone, which rang at the site where police were investigating.
Witnesses returned to the scene with flowers for the young mother on Saturday afternoon.
