Perth doctors accompanied Joshua Schutez home on a mercy flight, which landed in Perth this afternoon.

The eight-year-old was transported to Perth Children’s Hospital, where he’ll continue his treatment.

Schutez suffered a severe head trauma after the quad bike he and his brother were riding on flipped, on Wednesday.

He underwent emergency surgery at Denpasar hospital and has been in an induced coma since.

Family friends appealed for donations to help cover the massive hospital bill with more than $90,000 being raised so far.

Schutez had been in Bali to compete in a soccer tournament tomorrow, now instead, his team will play in his honour as they hope for a full recovery.
