Thousands of passengers have been evacuated from Perth Airport, sparking widespread chaos.
The airport has confirmed a ‘small’ kitchen fire inside a restaurant in terminal four sparked the emergency on Tuesday afternoon with the entire airport evacuated as per ‘safety procedures’.
The fire was extinguished by the time firefighters arrived.
The terminals have since been reopened to travellers.
‘Delays for some departing flights are expected,’ a spokeswoman added.
