New unseen photos of former prime minister Scott Morrison have been discovered inside an old family photo album at an op shop in Rockdale, Sydney.

Charlie Foo stumbled upon the find at the Salvation Army on West Botany Street, according to a video she shared to TikTok.

“When you randomly find a photo album at the op shop, look inside and realise it’s Scott Morrison former Australian (prime minister)” she wrote.

The photos show a young Morrison enjoying Port Douglas in Far North Queensland while attending the Tourism Task Force Directors Meeting.

Before entering politics, he worked in the tourism sector as director of New Zealand’s Office of Tourism and Sport and managing director of Tourism Australia.

The photos also captured Morrison’s trip with his wife Jenny to London, in the United Kingdom, and Dublin, in Ireland, from 1996 to 1997.

Picturesque scenes of Dublin were stamped on the pages with the caption revealing that Morrison had left his wife sick in bed on her birthday to go sightseeing without her.

Morrison, who was Australia’s 30th prime minister from 2018 to 2022, announced his retirement from politics in January 2024 to “take on new challenges in the global corporate sector and spend more time with my family”.

He now works as a non-executive vice chairman at global consulting firm American Global Strategies.
