This would-be gun smuggler got their goose cooked.

A traveler was busted trying to sneak a firearm through Florida airport security by stuffing the plastic-wrapped weapon into a whole, uncooked chicken, officials said.

The bird-brained scheme was exposed Monday by Transportation Security Administration officials at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

“There’s a personal fowl here,” the TSA said in a pun-stuffed Twitter post. “Our officers [at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood] made this very raw find. We hate to break it it to you but stuffing a firearm in your holiday bird for travel is just a baste of time.”

The post included photos of a raw Kikiri Quirch brand baking hen, with the wrapped gun tucked inside. The weapon is then shown alongside an ammo clip and scissors.

The TSA said it found a firearm stuffed into a raw baking hen on Nov. 7, 2022.

“So, don’t wing it, you’ll find all the proper packaging info here,” the Twitter post said and linked to the TSA’s guidelines for transporting firearms and ammunition.

On Instagram, the TSA roasted the unidentified culprit with even more groan-inducing jokes about what it called a “hen you believe it” find.

“The plot chickens as we barrel our way closer to Thanksgiving,” the agency stated. “For us it’s a time to be thankful that our officers are always working around the cluck to keep you safe … This idea wasn’t even half-baked; it was raw, greasy, and obviously unsupervised. The only roast happening here is this poor packing choice.”

A statewide record 700 guns have been seized in Florida airports, reports said.

Social media users had some fun with the bust as well, with one user saying “a dad wrote” the TSA post.

“Maybe it’s a recipe? Pollo con Pistole?” said another.

“Don’t stand too close when the pop up timer goes off,” a commenter advised.

There have been a record 700 guns seized at Sunshine State airports this year – with 120 at the Fort Lauderdale airport alone, the Miami Herald reported.

The statewide total accounts for 14% of all firearm seizures at US airports, according to Forbes.
