A warning has been issued after people doing some Christmas fishing left rubbish and belongings scattered across a Sydney wharf.
The NSW fisheries department shared a photo of items strewn across on a ferry wharf in the city, urging people to “show respect, courtesy, and consideration”.
It said while fishing is allowed, anglers should be aware they might need to move to make way for ferries and passengers, plus shouldn’t leave stuff in the way.
“A friendly reminder heading toward school and Christmas holiday season if you are fishing from a ferry wharf in Sydney Harbour, always remember that ferries and passengers have priority and that you are required to move out of the way when a ferry is approaching or departing from a wharf,” the post said.
