A pedestrian has been hit by a truck and killed on a busy strip in Melbourne on Tuesday.
The pedestrian, who is yet to be identified, was near the intersection of Burwood Road and Power Street in Hawthorn around 9am when they were struck by the truck.
They died at the scene with Victoria Police launching an investigation. The truck driver has been speaking with officers.

There are major traffic delays on Burwood Road and Power Street with motorists told to take alternative routes.
