Patrick Mahomes’ nightmare first half has Chiefs down big in Super Bowl 2025

Did Patrick Mahomes eat bad gumbo in New Orleans? Have a bad night’s sleep?

The Chiefs’ superstar quarterback looked unrecognizable during a nightmarish first half of Super Bowl 2025 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

It was some of the worst football he’s played his entire career.

He completed just 6 of 14 passes for 33 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions against a ferocious Eagles defense.

Mahomes’ first interception was returned 38 yards by Cooper DeJean for a pick-six, which extended the Eagles’ lead to 17-0 midway through the second quarter.

Two drives later, Mahomes threw another interception — a pick by Zack Baun — to set the Eagles up on the Chiefs’ 14-yard line.
