Patrick Mahomes exits Chiefs’ game vs. Jaguars in potential injury nightmare

The Chiefs’ postseason is off to a disastrous start.

Late in the first quarter, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes appeared to injure his ankle after throwing a pass. Jaguars linebacker Arden Key fell on Mahomes’ lower-leg area from behind and appeared to crunch his right ankle.

Mahomes hobbled over to the sideline, had his ankle taped in between the first and second quarter and then remained in the game. But he went to the locker room, and backup Chad Henne entered for the team’s most recent possession. The Chiefs have listed him as questionable to return.
