It is believed the plane was taking off today when an inflatable part of the aircraft burst.

One of the plane’s wings was seen angled into the water.

Vision from the scene showed passengers evacuating into a boat.

9News understands that no one was injured.

The aircraft has since been pulled ashore on nearby rocks and police are at the scene.

The same plane was involved in a small crash with a boat in June 2019, which underwent an investigation by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.

In that incident, the aircraft left Rose Bay for Berowra Waters and bumped into a stationary boat when it was landing, leaving one person in the boat with minor injuries.
