Para Vista, Adelaide: Boy, 14, charged after allegedly assaulting woman

A boy has been arrested and charged with assault after allegedly attacking a woman walking along a street in daylight.

The 14-year-old allegedly approached the woman on Neville Avenue, in Para Vista, in Adelaide’s north, at about 7.30pm on Monday to ask for directions.

He then allegedly tried to drag her into nearby bushes before the woman started to scream.

The boy ran off and the woman was not injured.

The 14-year-old was arrested at a home in the same suburb on Tuesday night and has been charged with indecent assault.

He was granted bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on April 5.

CCTV had captured the boy walking behind the woman in the area before the alleged attack.
