A three-year-old boy with his eye on a prize found himself in trouble after he crawled his way into a claw machine at Capalaba, Brisbane.

Queensland Police posted a video on Twitter showing young Ethan trapped – but taking it very calmly – inside the glass-walled box, surrounded by plush toys.

Ethan proved very cooperative with rescuing officers, clambering over to a safe corner and covering his eyes when told.

Police had to shatter the glass in order to lift Ethan out, but the boy was unhurt.

“You won a prize,” one of the officers joked in the video.

“Which one do you want?”
