Former One Direction star Liam Payne “jumped from the balcony” of his hotel room to his death in Argentina Wednesday, local authorities confirmed.
The 31-year-old singer “had jumped from the balcony of his room” on the third floor of CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Communications Director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry Pablo Policicchio said in a statement.
Police arrived at the hotel after receiving a 911 call just after 5 p.m. about an “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol,” Policicchio said.
