One dead after pair hit by car at illegal Melbourne park rave

Officers were called to Glenferrie Road in Kooyong about 1.10am today after reports of an illegal rave being held in a park.

Upon arrival, police witnessed two pedestrians being hit by a vehicle in a car park.

One person, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

A second person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested the driver at the scene and they were taken in for questioning. 

Investigations are ongoing.
