During an appearance on “Today,” Olivia Newton-John’s husband John Easterling shared that his wife “was very aware and it’s a long journey, but she had the willpower, even in her most difficult times, to really bring the light and to bring in the love.” He added that Newton-John “was who she was, all the way through.” Easterling admitted that he still feels his wife’s presence around the house. “Late at night, early in the morning. I’ll just be walking around the house or throwing the ball for the dogs and just speak to her out loud,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Chloe Rose Lattanzi said that her mom was “making jokes” up until she couldn’t speak anymore. And, the very last words that Newton-John said to her daughter were “my sunshine,” a memory that Lattanzi will never forget. Perhaps it goes without saying that Lattanzi and her mom were incredibly close. After Newton-John’s death, Lattanzi shared an Instagram video of a song that the two women recorded together called “Window in the Wall.” She captioned the post, “You are my lighthouse mama. My safe place. My heart space. It has been my honor and continues to be my honor to be your baby and best friend.” Lattanzi went on to call her mom an “angel on earth.”
