Lisa Murkowski.
It almost hurts to type that, which is how much I cannot abide the vile, backstabbing, vicious, sore-loser gorgon from Alaska.
And it’s worse because everyone knows the daughter of a former Alaska governor and senator knows she wasn’t meant to be in the Senate at all. The candidate who lost a GOP primary fair and square to a hardworking guy named Joe Miller then did an end run around the system to win in a write-in campaign, even using an ad cut by the recently deceased Sen Ted Stevens to boost her over the top.
I know Florida’s Charlie Crist wishes he’d had ranked-choice voting and a voice from beyond the grave to help him when he tried the same thing after Marco Rubio wiped the floor with him twice in our 2010 Senate race.
And Murkowski has settled in, like the scaly barnacle on a Dungeness crab she is. She’s never been remotely amenable, always entitled and fractious.
One picture that has always stuck in my mind when Murkowski’s name comes up is this one:
This is how I will remember Sen. Feinstein: I snapped this pic in Sept. 2018 in the middle of Kavanaugh’s SCOTUS confirmation hearings. Sen. Murkowski (right) was weighing her support, and…Feinstein moved in.
A few days later, Murkowski opposed the nomination. @cbsnews pic.twitter.com/UpGEikCF9V

But I have never seen two senators of opposing parties. I see two old harridans cut from the same liberal, Democratic cloth cackling over a cauldron recipe.
And I wouldn’t be far off.
I’ve never expected Murkowski to be ‘conservative,’ per se. I’ve just expected her to be mostly a REPUBLICAN.
In this simple expectation, I have been sadly disappointed and pretty routinely infuriated.
So when the Breitbart snippet below popped up, the only thing I could think to say was, ‘Like, that’s who she already is, yo.’
Only the level of calculated, self-absorbed duplicity is mind-blowing.
Lisa Murkowski says that if the balance in the Senate goes from 53-47 back to 50-50, she’s open to joining with the Democrats to give them the majority pic.twitter.com/Z3gwZfDxhO

She’d only shift to being a Democrat if it means she stays with the party in power at the time?
So we get to keep her as a card-carrying backstabber unless the Democrats take the Senate?
What sort of demented creature postulates publicly about such a twisted plan?
Then again, maybe it’s not the plan that’s twisted.
…Sen. Lisa Murkowski has criticized the Trump Administration for trying to streamline government and reduce waste, fraud, and abuse.
On Friday, she also voted to defund the Department of Government Efficiency — DOGE — which is headed up by Elon Musk on behalf of the president.
On an amendment to a bill, Maryland Democrat Sen. Chris Van Hollen moved Senate Amendment 1272 to H.R. 1968. The amendment would “prohibit the use of appropriated amounts by DOGE.”
Murkowski voted with the Democrats to defund the efficiency initiative, but the amendment failed, 52-48. All other Republicans voted against the amendment, even Sen. Susan Collins of Maine and Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, both who at times vote with Murkowski against the majority of Republicans and against President Donald Trump.
Who are we talking about here, right? This has been going on forever with her.
…While Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., lived up to his nickname of “maverick” by voting down his party’s health care bill early Friday morning, he wouldn’t have drawn nearly as much fanfare or ire without the help of two Republican women senators.
McCain might have delivered the night’s dramatics with an unexpected thumbs down on the Senate floor, but it was the votes of Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska that brought their party’s so-called “skinny” health care bill to its knees in a 51-49 vote.
It begs the question of what Senate Majority Leader John Thune is going to do about these revelations. Surely she doesn’t have the right to sit in any position where she wields power on any committees after this.
Surely she should be iced out of most Senate deliberations and made, basically, a pariah.
SHOULD BE
Democrats got all hot and bothered when this interview first came out, thinking they’d snagged themselves another seat until they heard the rest of her musings on the hypothetical switch.
…“My problem with your hypothetical is that as challenged as I think we may be on the Republican side, I don’t see the Democrats being much better,” Murkowski said. “And they’ve got not only their share of problems, but quite honestly, they’ve got some policies that I just inherently disagree with.”
And they were all deflated because Murkowski didn’t sound like she was ready to jump yet.
Man.
The liberal media loves traitors like Lisa Murkowski, who admits that she’s never voted with Trump
She’s currently serving on three committees
I’m calling on @LeaderJohnThune to hold her to acct by removing her from all three of these committees, until she votes with Trump pic.twitter.com/IocGvXGTmj

Murkowski doesn’t agree with anything on the GOP side as long as there is a Republican president she doesn’t like.
They don’t know how lucky they are, and we’re stuck.
