NYPD seeks young men accused of hurling construction barrels at cop during Union Square riot

The NYPD is searching for two young men who allegedly assaulted a cop during Twitch star Kai Cenat’s chaotic PS5 giveaway-turned-riot in Union Square Friday.

The department on Tuesday released photos of two males wanted for allegedly hurling construction barrels at a 59-year-old cop, striking him in the head and body at about 3:45 p.m.

The officer suffered multiple wounds including a head injury and both ran off.

The two suspects are the latest delinquents involved in the massive melee to be wanted by police.

On Sunday, cops announced they were looking for eight baby-faced teens caught on camera trashing a police car during Friday’s mayhem.

Officers already arrested 66 people after the social media star’s giveaway created complete — and often violent — chaos.

Cenat, who has 20 million social media followers, was arrested himself and charged with inciting a riot and unlawful assembly — but was freed on a desk-appearance ticket.

A public relations company representing the streamer apologized for the wild crowd.

A witness told The Post that Union Square looked like a warzone as crowds of teens and young adults took over the park Friday in hopes of scoring a free PS5 from Cenat.
