NYC Mayor Eric Adams reacts to ‘possibility’ DOJ is moving to toss charges in corruption, bribery case

New York City Mayor Eric Adams offered a tepid response Monday night about the “possibility” his federal corruption case could get tossed.

A Fox News reporter caught up with Hizzoner as he was dining with supermarket mogul John Catsimatidis — just after news broke that President Trump’s Department of Justice directed the Southern District of New York to dismiss the historic indictment against Adams.

“We’re going to find out more information, I don’t have much now,” he said, according to footage posted on X.

Adams said he wanted to speak to his lawyer before commenting further.

“We were just notified of the possibility that the DOJ has communicated with the local US Attorney’s office here,” he said. “I would like to speak to [my lawyer] first and get a better understanding of exactly what’s taking place now because right now I don’t have any information.”

The shocking development comes as the DOJ sided with Adams that the charges brought during the Biden administration were politically motivated.
