It looks like that “cartoon character” Brazilian butt lift isn’t so popular anymore. One NYC doctor is making a killing doing reversals.
Brazilian Butt Lift Not So Popular Anymore
The once extremely popular procedure is taking a backseat to more subtle ones like lip fillers and non-surgical face lifts. Dr. Ryan Neinstein a plastic surgeon on Fifth Avenue is revealing what his high-end clientele are paying $25,000 to reverse.
A Brazilian butt lift is when fat from a meatier part of the body is transferred to the butt. The procedure has become very popular in Hollywood and while many celebs are not fessing up to having it done, some DGAF and show off their enhanced BBL.
Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Amber Rose have all been honest about their procedure. Whereas, other celebrities have been highly suspected to have undergone the low-risk procedure; Kylie Jenner went from not having a shapely body to an hourglass figure, her sister Kim Kardashian is also suspected of undergoing the procedure to enhance her already thick cakes, Iggy Azalea and even Sofia Vergara have been suspected as well.
Dr. Ryan Neinstein’s Office Is Busy
“Interestingly a lot of [the calls we’re getting] are for patients looking to reverse surgery done elsewhere. While clothing and hairstyles are easy to experiment with new styles, in my opinion, surgery should aim for timeless beauty,” says the doctor in an exclusive interview with Page Six.
He claims his “most common” procedure currently is reversing the big butts on the patients who are now over it or feeling regret they did it in the first place. “These women can’t walk down the street comfortable in their own skin while looking like a cartoon character.”

Dr. Neinstein goes elaborates on how he goes about the procedure. “I commonly have to shrink and tighten the buttock along with sculpting adjacent areas to give a more proportionate and elegant look.”
He notes that these procedures are most commonly done in South Florida and Colombia but he also does the procedure in his office if people aren’t looking to get a reversal. In an IG post, the doc brags about his work.
“Better not bigger #bblsurgery,” he writes alongside a collage of pictures featuring before and afters of one of his procedures. “She sought better harmony from the back to the waist to the thighs to the 🍑 High performing driven patient ( and surgeon 😀) mutually aligned in goals,” he writes.
Celebrities Are Jumping Ship
The reversal surgery is more talked about than even now. Blac Chyna has opted to get her surgical silicone removed (another version of the BBL) and no longer using filers. K. Michelle has been very vocal about removing her injections and having to have four surgeries because of complications.
Cardi also admitted to getting a small reduction to her BBL. “In August I got surgery and I removed 95% of my [biopolymers] … if you don’t know what it is, it’s a** shots,” she said honestly in an IG Live.
She also encouraged her fans to NOT fall for the hype and get the shots, according to her, it’s not worth it.
