Nikita Tszyu vs Dylan Biggs boxing LIVE: All the action from the Australian super welterweight title fight

Dib told Fathi, ‘Listen to me, you’re on another level here,’ in between rounds, and he’s right – but Pavlides won’t give him much room for error.

Fathi’s jab is getting through with regularity and it looks like it’s getting easier for him to slip punches as Pavlides slows down a little halfway through the fight.

Porter brands Dib’s man ‘the complete package’ – then the ref warns Pavlides to stop holding so much. He’s getting worn down surely – but not slowly – as Fathi keeps finding his mark.

Pavlides lands a jab with Fathi doing a bit of rope-a-dope and it’s another clear-cut round.

Billy Dib was very happy with that opening round and wants his charge to keep using head movement and his jab.

Fathi is making Pavlides miss with ease and he’s getting through with the left rip, which could be a telling factor late in the fight.

Pavlides walks onto a punch, then takes a one-two to the head as he mucks around a bit too much while looking for an opening.

A Fathi jab snaps Pavlides’ head back and another rip gets through to the bottom of his ribcage. He’s trying to muscle his opponent into the ropes so he can negate his footwork and load up, but Fathi’s too smart and quick for him.

Pavlides has length on Fathi, but it doesn’t take long to see the Moroccan has the advantage in hand speed and technique.

If the ring was as big as a lift, you get the feeling that’d suit Pavlides down to the ground. He’s all about pressure and refuses to stop coming forward.

Fathi shows great composure and scores with a right over the top of the guard. He’s using the Philly shell defence a lot, left hand down as he relies on good head movement.

Pavlides comes out to Abba’s ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight). His record stands at 4 wins with no KOs, two losses and a draw.

Fathi is Aussie ex-world champ Billy Dib’s protege and boasts six wins, all by knockout, to his name.

The elder Tszyu brother is tipping Nikita to finish it with a left uppercut through Biggs’ guard and admits he’s still ‘haunted’ by the vicious left uppercut Zab Judah landed on his father Kostya in what was one of the boxing legend’s most famous knockout wins.

Here’s Trewhella landing a solid right around Walton’s guard in a good example of how his power and precision got him that unanimous decision.

Shawn Porter described Martin as ‘outmatched and outgunned’ in the bout – and the judges agreed, calling it 48-46, 48-46 and 48-46 for Fawcett, who deserved the win.

A right hook did the damage in round four, coming on the end of a nice jab.

Fawcett isn’t mucking around – he nails Martin with rights and a nice left hook. Martin locks him up in a clinch to nullify the pressure.

A nice right rip to the body from Martin, but his head gets rocked back by a big right. Quite the chin on this bloke – he looks unruffled by the blow.

The one-two lands for Fawcett and Martin isn’t showing enough urgency – he’s got to push the action here.

Another left hook gets home for Fawcett, who lands one back. A huge left hook misses for Martin, but Fawcett finds his mark with the last good shot of the fight.

Martin catches his man with a jab – then scores a knockdown as Fawcett cops one on the chin and touches the canvas with his glove!

It didn’t look like a powerful shot but Fawcett walked onto it. He doesn’t look hurt and lands over the top in reply.

Fawcett stalks Martin but looks to be getting a little tired and sloppy. He doubles up with two straight rights to the head and a right to the body.

Martin lands with an uppercut, then cops a jab for his trouble, but a lot of the snap has disappeared from Fawcett’s shots.

Some bad fundamentals from Martin, who is lunging in when he throws shots and getting caught with the left hook way too much. He’s not controlling the distance anywhere near as well as he should. Fawcett lands another jab, which should be infuriating Martin’s trainer.

Some body work from Fawcett, who’s moving well and setting up his shots as he closes the distance with ease.

A rare body shot from Martin lands, then finds his mark with a straight left, but it doesn’t carry much power. The way he’s dropping his hands will drive boxing purists mad.

The quietest round of the fight so far, and Martin’s best.

Fawcett gets under Martin’s guard again, lands to the body but misses with a right upstairs. He lands with a solid hook but while Martin looks slow and awkward, he seems to be able to take a shot.

There’s next to no head movement from Martin, who gets caught with a jab before copping another left hook. He tries to land a lead left, misses, gets caught again. There’s a bit of a gulf in classhere.

Porter wants Fawcett to go to the body more to bring Martin’s guard and head further down. It’s his round again.

Talk about a height and reach advantage – Martin towers over his opponent.

This will be the first five-round fight Shawn Porter has ever seen, and he’s been ringside for more than a couple.

Fawcett gets inside his man and lands with a right, then repeats the dose with another shot to the head.

Martin isn’t doing a good job of using his length and he has a very low guard that leaves him open to overhand rights and rising hooks from the smaller Fawcett, who makes him miss badly with a straight right.

The tall southpaw comes back with a good jab and straight left but he looks rigid and a bit slow as he keeps getting tagged.

A wild left hook from Fawcett misses by about two feet, but it’s his round.

Martin’s trainer rates him the hardest puncher in the country, pound-for-pound.

Newcastle Knights footy star Bradman Best joins Fawcett on his walk to the ring. He’s coming off the only loss of his seven-fight pro career.

The youngest pug in the Tszyu clan is feeling the weight of keeping the family’s 48-fight undefeated streak going in Australia…

‘This is my time,’ he says – before admitting this is the first mountain he’s had to climb in his pro career.

Asked about Biggs’ comment that he saw fear in his eyes at the weigh-in, Tszyu says, ‘I fear no-one.’

His brother Tim says he’s noticed something ‘different’ in Nikita’s eyes, which he hasn’t seen before his previous fights.

That was a great debut from Trewhella, whose amateur experience shone through as he looked sharp, fast and aggressive. He gives a shout-out to his uncle Anthony Mundine, who’s grinning at ringside. He’s a pug to watch.

Walton needs a knockout to win. His corner told him to throw punches in bunches before the start of the round, but he starts off by eating a few jabs and keeps loading up with big rights that miss.

He backs Trewhella up and pours it on, throwing wicked hooks and uppercuts, but doesn’t hurt his man, who gets off the ropes – then cops two straight rights to the head.

Trewhella bamboozles Walton with his quick feet but returns to standing right in front of him, which is risky.

He lands a nice one-two to the head to rock Walton’s head back, then gets caught on the ropes briefly, but easily gets back to centre ring.

Walton throws a flurry late in the round but gets caught with another crisp one two and is starting to look ragged. One more round and he might’ve been stopped.

10-9 Trewhella, who looked the goods right from the outset.

Walton triples his jab to back his opponent up but Trewhella gets back to the centre of the ring and looks content to stand straight in front of him and look for openings.

A couple of straight rights and a body shot from Trewhella, who doesn’t look intimidated by Walton’s power in the slightest.

Another straight right lands but Walton finds Trewhella with one of his own. Shawn Porter says Walton looks like he’s in love with his power and he’s right – he’s searching for one big shot to end it without setting up his punches.

Trewhella catches him with a jab as he comes in and showboats a little, dropping his hand. It’s his round again.

Trewhella gets backed up again as Walton loads up, but he doesn’t panic and works his way off. He is very quick and technically correct but is still there to be hit.

Walton takes two rights to the head; they’re scoring easily over the top of his left jab. A shot to the body from Trewhella follows, then a solid jab, a missed uppercut.

Shawn Porter is urging Trewhella to get back to his jab to set up his combinations and it seems like he might’ve heard him as he finishes the round strongly.

An action-packed opening round with both fighters looking very crisp and Trewhella scoring with good combinations before being backed into a corner.

Knockdown! Walton gets stung by a right hand to the jaw and puts his glove on the canvas but isn’t too badly hurt as Trewhella steams in and keeps scoring.

Walton backs him up again as Trewhella stops using his feet but that’s a clear-cut win there.

Walton has just one win under his belt from his only fight, while Trewhella is making his pro debut.

Mark Schleibs smashed Shamal Ram Anuj into next week in the first fight of the night with this stunning left hook in round five.

He’s just been asked what he can do to the Tszyu family legacy, which has seen Kostya, Tim and Nikita all go undefeated in Australia over the course of 30 years, and his answer was simple: ‘Finish it.’

Tim’s response: ‘I think that is quite disrespectful in my eyes.’

The world title holder is on the fight commentary panel tonight and he’s already looking ahead to Nikita fighting overseas if he can get past the undefeated Biggs.

Co-commentator and ex-world champ Shawn Porter is far from bullish about Nikita’s chances of turning Newcastle into ‘Tszyucastle’ tonight, branding it a 50-50 fight, but the other member of the panel, journalist Peter Badel, is tipping Biggs… and Tim isn’t exactly happy about that.
