This is the horrific moment a man appeared in the middle of a darkened road before he tired to get into a family’s car.
Jonathan Tsai, his wife and their two young children were traveling on Interstate 880 in Oakland, California, when the nearly-naked stranger ran towards their car Monday night, as reported by KTVU.
Tsai’s wife, who was in the driver’s seat, stopped the car as she noticed that vehicles ahead were swerving.
That’s when the strange man, dressed only in briefs, launched at their car and tried to open the front passenger door.
As Tsai’s wife began driving again, the man reportedly hung onto the car door.

‘I didn’t know if he was holding a gun, pointing at us as just slow walking and then a run. I’m like terrified,’ Tsai told KTVU.
‘He had this scowl on his face, like he wanted to do us harm,’ Tsai added.
Tsai said he has been left traumatized by the 8-second incident and is taking time off from work as a software engineer to recuperate.
He explained that he and his family travel weekly on Interstate 880 from Fremont to San Francisco, but the incident has made them change their routine.

‘This is not something that you ever prepare for. And my wife is like we’re not driving 880 any more. When we come to San Francisco, we’ll take 101
Tsai, a Bay Area native, said it is the first time he has questioned whether he wants to live in California.
California Highway Patrol said that shortly after the incident they recovered a stolen vehicle nearby.
The suspect in that case had apparently jumped on the hood of the car, shattered the windshield, and carjacked it after the driver got out.
That driver was safely picked up by his girlfriend, who had been driving in another car behind him.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
CHP Officer Adib Zeid said officers trailed the man for a while before they lost sight of him.
CHP added that they still need to confirm the same man is responsible for both incidents.
