NFL MVP odds: Lamar Jackson lapping the field after monster win over Dolphins

The NFL MVP race is all but over.

After weeks of players coming and going at the top of the oddsboard, Lamar Jackson seized his position as the league’s most valuable player.

Jackson is now -20000 to win the award at FanDuel Sportsbook following his monster performance during a win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

The Ravens quarterback had perhaps the best game of his six-year NFL career, going 18-of-21 from the air for 321 yards and five touchdowns and posting a perfect passer for just the third time in his career.

Baltimore blew out Miami 56-19 for its second impressive victory in the past two weeks.

The win moved them to 13-3 and secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC with one week to go in the regular season.

Jackson has guided the Ravens to the best record in the NFL despite numerous injuries on the offensive side of the ball.

Heading into Week 18, Jackson has thrown for a career-best 3,678 yards with a 67.2 completion rate and 29 total touchdowns (24 passing and five rushing).

No other player has odds better than 16/1 to upset Jackson for the MVP award.

Dak Prescott (+1600), Brock Purdy (+2500), and Josh Allen (+3000) are the only three players with odds better than 50/1.

Jackson opened the season with the sixth-best odds (+1400) at Caesars Sportsbook to win the award.

As recently as two weeks ago, Jackson was still +500, trailing only 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.

Betting on the NFL?

But after an impressive 33-19 drubbing of San Francisco on Christmas Day, Jackson took over favorite status.

Now, with nothing to play for in Week 18, Jackson may not even take the field during Week 18 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Barring a miracle performance from one of his competitors, no matter what happens during the NFL’s last regular season weekend, Jackson will win his second MVP award.
