A couple were able to track down two women who crashed their wedding, thanks to the power of social media.
Danny Steeno and his wife, Daisy, from Milwaukee, had a photo booth at their wedding in October.
But when they received the photos from the booth last week, they noticed something unusual – two women they didn’t recognize.
“We need a little help,” the bride and groom shared in a TikTok clip that now has 1.8 million views.
“Two people we did not invite to the wedding showed up and took pictures,” they laughed, seeming to take the situation in good humor.
The pair then shared the incriminating photo of the girls, who looked to be around 20 and were dressed in formal attire, as though they planned to attend a wedding.
“We’re genuinely not even mad,” they insisted. “We hope you had fun and honestly just want to meet you to hear your story.”
They then put a call out to their followers to try and track the pair down and in just under nine hours, the internet did its thing.
The two women, Valerie and Gracelyn, came forward and revealed that it was them who crashed the wedding.
After a few back-and-forth messages, the four decided to hold a Zoom call to find out exactly how this night came to be.
Mr. and Mrs. Steeno shared multiple clips from their virtual conversation, in which the young women explained that they had intentionally gone looking for weddings to crash that evening.
“We had no plans, so we said, ‘Why don’t we try wedding crashing?’” Gracelyn shared.
“We looked up the most popular wedding venues in Milwaukee, and basically just hopped around town to each venue to see if there was a wedding happening.
“We stumbled across your venue and went inside. We followed the music, where it was coming from, and found your wedding.”
Gracelyn then admitted they didn’t buy the couple a wedding gift because their “presence” was the present.
Valeria added that the decision to wedding crash was very much on a “whim” and so they didn’t have time to buy something.
The pair said they made themselves at home at the event and helped themselves to some free food that was “really good” before making their exit.
The women said they were shocked when their phones starting blowing up after the couple’s video went viral but decided it was the right thing to do to fess up.
The couple concluded the call by joking that they would crash the girls’ weddings in the future, but they both assured them that the couple would be getting their very own invite, so that wouldn’t be necessary.
Danne then praised them for being “really good wedding crashers” because “nobody knew you were there.”
“You just came and got a drink and peaced out, which was pretty cool.”
