Newborn baby found with life-threatening injuries outside Melbourne home

Police said the baby was discovered outside a Gladstone Road home in Dandenong North about 2.40am.

A 25-year-old woman from the address was also taken to hospital where she remains under police guard.

Detectives said the baby remains in a critical condition.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
