Chelsea hotspot Cafeteria celebrated its 25th anniversary Thursday night with New York legends, drag queens, ice cream trucks, beats by DJ Lina Bradford and its famous mac ‘n’ cheese.
Ann Dexter-Jones, The Blonds, Phillip Bloch, Malcolm Harris, Brian Atwood, model Victoria Brito, Renee Cox, photographer Rose Hartman, Jose Xtravaganza, “Good Day New York” weatherman Mike Woods, and New York nightlife legends like Dianne Brill, Walt Cassidy and Joey Arias were a few notables who came out to fete the celebrity-studded eatery that’s been a favorite for stars like Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez.

Guests partied indoors and outdoors from 6 p.m. until midnight as servers passed around tuna tartare, sliders, and cocktails. One partygoer dodged a bullet — or falling glass in this case — when a shelf at the bar fell and shattered next to them “from the loud ass vibration of the music,” we’re told. Naturally, they took precaution and ordered a fresh cocktail out of fear of swallowing glass.
“Sex and the City” filmed some memorable scenes there, and female impersonator Carrie Dragshaw entertained the throng.
Coincidentally, “SATC” star Kim Cattrall was just up the street attending the Tribeca Festival premiere of the show’s costume designer Pat Field’s documentary, “Happy Clothes.” On Friday, Mario Cantone inadvertently celebrated the restaurant’s anniversary by posting one of his favorite scenes from the show featuring Cantone, Kristin Davis and the late Willie Garson at Cafeteria.
