Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald tearfully revealed a deadly miscarriage after getting pregnant during her honeymoon.
Mary Fitzgerald Was Almost A Mom Again

The reality star already has a 28-year-old son named Austin, but when she married her husband, Romain Bonnet, she decided to try for more kids. Shockingly enough, the 42-year-old got pregnant during her honeymoon, but what should have been a joyous moment was cut short.
She shared a post on Instagram, a video of herself sharing her personal story. She also wrote a sentimental caption. “It’s not always sunshine and butterflies, and that is ok,” she opened her account.
“I wanted to share this to let others know they are not alone. I promised I would be truthful and keep you guys updated. I have been asked some questions and finally found it within me to address this,” she said mysteriously.
“We won’t be giving up… and if this message speaks to you in any way or you feel down, helpless, alone… please know we are in this together. Hang in there…,” she ended the encouraging words.

Mary Fitzgerald Tried Not To Cry

The California native said in her video, “I promised everybody a while back, probably about a year ago, that I would take you along with my fertility journey, and I know I’ve been very silent about that, “ she admits.
Fitzgerald has to stop for a moment; she smiles to hold back tears and tells her followers she is trying to do this without crying. “It’s taken me a couple of weeks to say everything that’s been happening.”
“So, we did get pregnant,” she admits while on their honeymoon in Bali. “Unfortunately, that didn’t work out, and on top of the miscarriage, I had what they call a septic miscarriage,” she reveals.

A septic miscarriage is when an infection develops in the uterus due to a miscarriage. The Mayo Clinic says it is more common than most would ever assume. Because of the septic miscarriage, Fitzgerald said she “had to go in for surgery.”
Mary Fitzgerald Is Brave

While it’s not our business, Fitzgerald said she needed to share this sad moment in her life. “I guess the only reason why I’ve been silent for a long time — and why I’m speaking out now — is because I realize how common this is and how many people go through this.”
She isn’t going to let this one hiccup discourage her; she revealed that she and her husband still have “hope” and will “continue to share” her journey and was confident that “we will have excellent news very soon.”

The moment was rough for Fitzgerald because once the tears started, they didn’t stop. Thankfully, her Selling Sunset co-stars sent love and support via her comment section on the post.
Amanda Smith wrote, “Most beautiful human inside and out. I love you both and will continue to hold you up through all your pain. ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Yes, you will have good news very soon. 🙏🏽😇.”
Brett Oppenheim, the one-half owner of the real estate firm, wrote, “We will always be here to support you and Romain through anything. Love you.”
Bonnet supported his wife entirely. “🥺 it’s just the beginning of our journey, my princess, and I promise I will always be here to support you every step of the way ❤️❤️.”
The news is beyond sad, but we can’t wait to see the adorable baby they do being into the world!
