Brockmann hugged his mum and burst into tears after finishing the mammoth run.

“I can’t wait for a shower,” he said as he laid on the track.

Brockmann completed 3,760 laps of the track at Sydney Olympic Park, which is 125.325 master laps (a master lap covers a distance of 12.84 kilometres).

It was also the biggest day of donations yesterday, with over $770,000 raised for the charity.

“12 days, 13 hours, 16 minutes, and 45 seconds. Average 128 kilometres a day. $2.6 million raised for Aussies experiencing homelessness and counting,” he said on social media today.

He started on October 3 with a goal to beat the world record – running 1600km in 10 days – while trying to raise $10 million for homelessness charity We Are Mobolise.

While significant injuries prevented him from beating the world record, he has still raised an impressive $2.6 million.
