NBA Star Ja Morant Allegedly Flashes A Gun During Instagram Live AGAIN!

Ja Morant did it again.

Just two months after being suspended and then attending a counseling program for flashing a gun during an Instagram Live, the Memphis Grizzlies star has once again been seen showing a gun during another Instagram Live this weekend.

During the Instagram Live, the NBA superstar was in a car with some friends, dancing and rapping and having a great time. The camera panned over to Morant, 23, who was seen holding a gun for a second before his friend, who was controlling the camera, quickly turned it back to his direction. But it doesn’t matter how quick the camera moved, fans saw what they saw and took to social media to discuss.

The clip quickly made its rounds online being shared by many on Twitter and Instagram. Barstool Sports shared a tweet with the clip, and fans’ comments ended up being a mixed bag, with some siding with Morant and others taking the other side of the argument.

“America only cares if you carry or brandish a gun if you play for the NBA. Doesn’t Ja Morant have 2nd Amendment rights like the rest of us?,” one follower wrote. Another added to that thought saying, “His constitutional right!”

Then there was the other side of the argument. “Lol, dude clearly hates playing in the NBA,” one person wrote. “Self-destructive culture,” said another.

Another fan explained both sides of the debate saying, “When you are a professional athlete you are a role model to kids and others, whether you want to be or not. You are. This is also irresponsible gun ownership. He’s allowed to own guns, as this is America. However guns aren’t meant to be a dancing accessory.”

Official NBA Buzz also shared the clip on Instagram, where fans also left their thoughts in the comment section.

“The dude threw away everything he promised (allegedly it being a gun) 😂 Mental health my ass… that was just a lie to cover up his immatureness & stupidity 🤷‍♂️,” wrote one follower.

Another added, “Man why? And everybody is just gonna pretend it’s a mental health thing and he’s the victim. Dude just needs to mature.”

According to Shams Charania, “Grizzlies suspended Morant from all team activities pending NBA review.” The caption to his Instagram post continued, “NBA spokesperson Mike Bass says, ‘We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information.”

“No way he did it AGAIN 😭😭,” one follower wrote in the comments. “Bro really said ‘I got one more in me’💀💀,” wrote another.

Earlier this year, Morant was suspended for eight games and entered a two-week counseling program in Florida following the gun-flashing IG Live, as well as a string of other troublesome issues.

After making his return to the court, he told reporters that he promises to “be more responsible” moving forward.

According to CNN, Morant told reporters that “it’s an ongoing process, a continued process for me” when talking about his two-weeks at the counseling program.

“Obviously, I’ve been there for two weeks, but that doesn’t mean I’m completely better,” he said. “So that’s an ongoing process for me that I’ve still been continuing since I’ve come out.”

The Grizzlies star insisted that alcohol is not a problem for him and it’s more about managing stress.

“I went (to Florida) to counseling to learn how to manage stress,” he said. “Cope with stress in a positive way, instead of ways I’ve tried to deal with it before that caused me to make mistakes.”

During Morant’s first interview after the IG Live incident earlier this year, the NBA star spoke with former NBA player Jalen Rose, who has spoken out about understanding Morant because of his own troubled past.

Morant explained to Rose that he flashed the gun in a moment that he was just trying to be free.

“Use that as an escape, which I shouldn’t have. I feel like that’s the reason I made many bad decisions in my past, which doesn’t describe Ja as a person,” he explained. “I’m a totally different person than what’s been showing in the media.”
