A teen has recalled his confronting encounter with a burglar who broke into his home and came his bedroom while he was asleep stark naked.

Jack, 17, was enjoying a sleep-in on Tuesday when he heard unexpected noises in his Allambie Heights home on Sydney’s northern beaches.

He eventually got up to investigate and disturbed the intruders, making eye contact with one of them while still undressed.

The teen assured 2GB breakfast host Ben Fordham he was fully clothed during Friday’s radio interview.

‘It’s been hot for the last week and I was trying to get relief from the heat so I was naked!’ Jack recalled.

‘I’m facing away from the door and I hear someone opening the door and I’m still half asleep thinking ‘I hope that’s not my mum because I’m naked’.

‘He was one foot away from me, like, I could sense him.

‘I hear this guy saying some profanities I won’t say on air, he tries to close the door lightly.’

Jack got out of bed and seconds later, spotted one of burglars outside his house walking down the stairs.

‘We lock eye contact and at that point, I start freaking out,’ he said.

Jack rang his mother to check if she was expecting any visitors before calling police, who arrived within two minutes.

‘I would have gone chasing after them (the burglars) but I had to get dressed quickly and by then, it was done,’ he said.
