My pastor husband cheated on me — here’s why I helped him get ready for dates with his ‘side chicks’

Some of the worst news a spouse could find out is that their partner is cheating.

One woman knew and accepted that her husband was a cheater, but instead of getting mad or divorcing him, she actually helped him get ready for his dates to keep their marriage intact.

Kelley and Reginald Steele have experienced a lot of highs and lows in their 32-year marriage.

In a recent “Dear Future Wifey” podcast episode, the high school sweethearts admitted that there was infidelity in their marriage from the beginning, according to News.com/au.

The couple got married in 1993 when they found out Kelley was pregnant. Reginald, who is the founder of Kingdom Church in Phoenix, Arizona, admitted in the episode that he would give his wife a hard time for not sharing his faith.

Yet, this husband was a bit hypocritical back in his day because shortly after getting married — he supposedly “left this ‘holy lifestyle’” and went “back to smoking weed, drinking, chasing women.”

“We would fight. Our house became the party house,” Kelley said. And as expected, she wasn’t handling her husband’s cheating ways well.

At this point, one would’ve expected Kelley to leave her husband and never look back.

However, she didn’t want to repeat what her mother did when Kelley was a little girl — leave her husband and break up the family.

After having a few holy talks with God, Kelley said she “had a radical heart shift from that moment. I just completely changed as a person,” she explained.

The couple grew closer as Kelley let her husband act on his wandering eye.

“I’d tell her, ‘You’re my starter, but I got other ones on the bench,’” Reginald said.

“I was okay with it as long as I was first,” his wife responded in agreement.

“Although he would go out for weekends, I would literally help him get ready to go meet a side chick by ironing his clothes and getting him ready for the night,” the devoted wife said.

She went on to say that she “didn’t want him to be lost.”

The host of the podcast questioned why Reginald also kept choosing his wife when he had so many options of women. His response? It was not as deep as one would hope.

“She lived down the street, but all my other girlfriends lived 30 minutes away. She would also feed me and give me money.”

Although the couple didn’t say if heating is still going on in their marriage — it was admitted that all of these antics took place within the first few years of their time together.
