A woman got the last word when she dared her boyfriend to wear fake nails for a week after he made fun of her for struggling to do menial tasks.
Amy Sibiya, a 29-year-old from South Africa, challenged her beau Tyrrel, 33, to prove how difficult it can be to complete a simple chore with long fake nails.
“He said I was being dramatic with my nails, and it can’t be that tough to not break one, so I bet that he couldn’t last a week without breaking any nails himself,” Sibiya told Caters.
The playful boyfriend was surprisingly up for the challenge.
“I didn’t expect him to agree to it. I do my own nails at home, so I guess the fact that I was the one doing it for him made him more open to trying it and not having to go into a salon,” Sibiya, who is an art director, shared.
“I expected him to hate it and ask me to remove them after the first day, but I guess he’s stubborn and was genuinely interested in testing out this challenge. I also expected him to break a nail a lot earlier.”
Tyrrel had some issues with small tasks like opening lip balm and cans and picking up coins but had more pressing concerns.

“He said the hardest things were picking his nose and scratching his eyes,” Sibiya revealed. “His nails were pointy and he kept accidentally hurting himself.”
The couple shared some of the fun of their bet online and received some criticism, but they said they feel more upset for the haters than they do about the rude remarks.

“There were a lot of homophobic comments, which we expected,” Sibiya said.
“It’s a shame really that so many consider nail art and creativity feminine and emasculating. They’re really missing out.”
While Sibiya and her boyfriend had a good laugh with their bet, some couples don’t always have the same sense of humor.

A wife was angry when her husband pretended to smash their son’s first birthday cake into her face.
Candie, 40, shared a video of the moment her other half decided to play a prank on her when their baby boy didn’t immediately devour the sweet treat.
However, the joke didn’t go as her hubby expected, with Candie writing on TikTok that she “wanted to choke” her husband, revealing she “cried like a baby” as a result.
The video has gone viral, amassing almost 5 million views, with critics accusing him of being a “narcissist.”
Not everyone can be a jokester.
