A man has died after allegedly being assaulted outside a home on the Queensland-NSW border overnight.
Officers found an unconscious man, believed to be aged in his 30s, laying on the ground outside a house.
Paramedics treated the man, who has not yet been identified, but he died at the scene.
Police have established a crime scene and are investigating with the assistance of Homicide Squad detectives.
