After a wet Anzac Day and weekend in NSW which saw multiple people have to be rescued, more rain is on the way.

The NSW SES performed 16 flood rescues yesterday as the deluge hit.

Most were for people who had gone against advice and driven into floodwaters.

Locals on the NSW Mid North Coast also needed help.

At Crawfords River, near Bulahdelah, multiple properties on Emu Creek Road were hit by rising floodwaters and 11 people were rescued.

SES volunteers also answered calls to 800 incidents over the weekend.

They included helping with leaking or damaged roofs, trees down and taking sandbagging requests.

NSW SES Assistant Commissioner Dean Storey said conditions remained dangerous.

“While we are expecting river rises to slowly subside, a number of warnings remain current for the Mid North Coast and Hunter regions due to the impacts of flooding,” Storey said.

According to Weatherzone, during the 24 hours ending at 9am today, parts of the Hunter Valley and Central Coast regions received 100mm to 150mm of rain.

Some places in NSW got even more.

This included 154mm at Mandalong, near Morisset, 142mm at Crawford and 133mm at Mount Barrington.

The forecast for Sydney is for more wet weather.

Showers will increase on Tuesday and last until the end of the week.

Temperatures will peak in the low 20s.

The temperatures will be a maximum of 18 degrees.

Brisbane will be warm and mostly sunny, except when showers are forecast for Wednesday.

Adelaide will see showers on Tuesday but will be dry for the rest of the week.

Perth will be mostly sunny and warm, with temperatures set to peak at 31 degrees on Thursday.

Hobart will also be cloudy and rainy, with a maximum temperature of 16 degrees.
