A newlywed has recalled her delight of reeling in a massive catch which almost upstaged her in the wedding photos.
Darwin couple Miccala and Brodie Toms visited Dundee Beach to get some scenic photos after tying the knot on Saturday.
They spotted a baby shark on the bank and began taking photos.
A boy fishing nearby reeled in another shark, giving the bride an idea.
‘I thought, ‘that would be great wedding photos’, because we love fishing,’ Ms Toms told the NT News.
After getting permission from the boy’s parents, the fishing rod was handed to Ms Toms to reel in the shark.
In her long flowing white dress and high heels, the avid angler reeled in her first ever shark as her amused groom and guests watched on.

Miccala and Brodie Toms will never forget their wedding day

Nothing was going to stop the beautiful bride from reeling in her first ever shark
‘Look at my big shark!’ she was heard screaming.
Ms Toms fell over backwards as the shark put a fight, prompting her bridesmaids to rush to her aid while other guests, including her groom roared with laughter.
‘I’ve got it all on video,’ he’s heard in the background.
The rod was handed back to the boy to reel in the shark with the help of the groom to be used as a prop in the wedding photos.
Mr Toms is seen proudly holding the still squirming shark by the tail for the camera as his bride gave a big thumbs up.
It’s understood that the shark was released back into the ocean afterwards.
