Police are currently speaking with a man at the scene, but no arrests have been made

A major police operation is underway in Mosman, one of Sydney’s most exclusive harbourside suburbs, near the Buena pub.

Police are currently speaking with a man at the scene, but no arrests have been made.

Residents said Tactical Operations officers with high-powered rifles entered a home located near the Buena pub and removed a man very quickly.

‘When the Riot Squad van turned up we were very alarmed, and police had a loud hailer they were using to warn the man they were coming for him,’ said community group Mosman Collective.

The group shared a picture of an officer with a rifle using the door of an armoured vehicle as a shield, adding: ‘This is the moment police readied themselves to storm a home on Prince Albert St around 7am this morning.’

Streets have been blocked off for some time, and passengers were removed from buses.

Police told Daily Mail Australia that there is no threat to the community, however residents are being urged to avoid Prince Albert Street this morning.
