A single-storey house has been engulfed in flames in Sydney’s Inner West.

Twelve firetrucks and 30 firefighters are at the blaze on Hilltop Avenue in Marrickville, which broke out just after 5.30pm.

Authorities say the structure’s roof has collapsed and no one was inside when the fire started.

More than 70 calls have been made to triple zero as the home burns.
