The animal, easily two metres long, can be seen climbing down the screen door of the woman’s Bonogin home, as she watches on in fear.

“Mum had just finished a meeting when she saw it and screamed,” the woman told 9news.com.au.

“Then the kids rushed to see it.

“The snake catchers came but couldn’t find it as it had gone into the bushes in the meantime.”

The monster serpent is likely a carpet python, which are native from south-east Queensland.

They’re believed to be the largest of all the pythons, often reaching over three metres in length.
