An alleged drunk driver has been charged after a horror crash on a motorway in Queensland.
A sedan was seen driving across three lanes of the M1 near Logan on route to the Gold Coast this morning.
9News has obtained exclusive vision captured by anxious motorists, who tried to keep their distance.
“We didn’t want to overtake them because they were just like too crazy,” the witness who didn’t want to be named said.
“They were going 110, they were going pretty quick.”
The car was seen having several close calls until it eventually crashed.
“There were two other people in the car that we know of that got out, but the driver didn’t get out,” the witness said.
Emergency services arrived and all three people inside the sedan were checked by paramedics before they were taken to the police station.
A 21-year-old man, the alleged driver, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
No one was seriously injured in the incident.
