Adrian Houser pitched two shutout innings, allowing one hit, in the Mets’ 7-1 exhibition victory over the Marlins.
The right-hander recorded five outs on ground balls, including a double play that ended the second inning.

Quick blast
Jorge Lopez’s first pitch of the exhibition season went for a home run to center field by Tristan Gray.
The right-hander also allowed a walk in the inning.
Caught my eye
After striking out the side in his Grapefruit League debut Saturday, lefty reliever Nate Lavender pitched a perfect sixth inning for the Mets and struck out one.
