Kate Upton will soon be back in the New York groove.
On Monday, the Mets agreed two a two-year, $86.6 million deal with the supermodel’s husband, former Astros pitcher Justin Verlander, which also includes a vesting option for a third season, The Post’s Mike Puma confirmed.
Not long after the news broke, Mets faithful quickly flooded Upton’s Instagram page, where they welcomed her to the NL East.

“Welcome to NY,” one fan wrote, while another exclaimed, “See you at Citi Field!”
Although Verlander, 39, and Upton, 30, have spent the past few seasons in Houston — where Verlander helped lead the Astros to a World Series title last month — the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum has shown support for New York teams in the past.
In fact, Upton admitted during a 2014 appearance on “Live! with Kelly and Michael” that she “used to be a really big Yankees fan,” but her MLB allegiance shifted when she started dating Verlander, whom she wed in 2017.

Verlander landed in Houston in August 2017 following a trade with the Detroit Tigers. When the Astros advanced to the postseason that year, which included an ALCS showdown versus the Yankees, The Post gleefully reminded Houston which team first stole Upton’s heart.
“Hey Houston! We know who she’s really rooting for…” The Post proclaimed in a half-page ad taken out of the Houston Chronicle that featured Upton modeling a Yankees cap in 2013.
For the Astros’ most recent World Series run, Upton cheered for Houston both at home and on the road in Philadelphia, where her husband was taunted by Phillies fans. When the Astros defeated the Phillies in Game 6 of the series, Upton celebrated on the field at Minute Maid Park with Verlander and their 4-year-old daughter, Genevieve.
“I love watching my husband do what he loves to do,” Upton said at the time.
And now, Upton will be doing so from Citi Field, where she’ll be sporting a different kind of orange-and-blue color scheme.
